This month, I’ve been quite tired. I’ve started teaching some extra classes at my internship and the long days at school are using up most of my energy. It’s hardly surprising, then, that the first two posts I’ve bookmarked this month deal with taking breaks or getting back that creative energy.

I remember the title of Eustea Reads’ You’re Not Lazy, You’re Tired And That’s Okay immediately jumping out to me as it came up in my WordPress Reader. Thank you Eustacia, this is exactly what I needed to hear! ❤

I also really liked Ways To Replenish Your Creative Energy by Clo @ Cuppa Clo. She not only gives tips for where to find blogging inspiration, but also mentions self care as an important part of being able to create.

In other news, Em/Zainab @ Emmie Books (we have the same name!! So cool!!) has been doing a month long series called The Black Experience in honour of Black History month, featuring Black bloggers, authors and booktubers. I must admit I haven’t been able to read all of her posts yet (there is one a day) but those I have read I’ve loved. For example, this guest post about Black Bodies As Love Interests And Sidekicks.

Sophie @ Me And Ink wrote a great post Am I Obsessed With Romance? (Ft. Disney) for Valentine’s Day in which she demonstrates that ‘love’ is a much wider concept than the romance-industry may have us believe.

For a giggle, check out Holly @ Nut Free Nerd’s Top Ten Tuesday: Things online bookworms do that are weird.

Heather @ The Frozen Library allowed us a peek in her reading journals, which is always a treat :).

Lais @ The Bookish Skies started a new series called “Kaleidoscope of Tropes” in which she discusses her favourite book tropes. I really enjoyed her first instalment about The Broken Musician and I’m excited to read more!

On the topic of tropes, Miri @ The Book Dragoness published a very interesting posts about her Favourite Nonromantic Tropes. I like that she focuses on nonromantic tropes in particular, as it leads to an interesting list that I hadn’t considered before.

Clara @ The Bookworm Of Notre-Dame did a very cute post about her Favourite Disney Movies, In Aesthetics.

Paper Procrastinators published a fun list of Top Ten Life Skills We’ve Gained From Reading, from carrying heavy loads to overthrowing government bodies. Always good to know!
