It’s February now, but the year is still kind of fresh, right?

So many exclamation points! This is one enthusiastic little tag. I’m not tagging anyone, as I’m already quite late, but feel free to bookmark it for future years 🙂

Best Book And/Or Series That You’ve Read in 2019?
This is too hard, so I’m going to give you a little top five in no particular order. I wrote reviews for the first two.
- The Seven Deaths Of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
- Hard-Boiled Wonderland And The End Of The World by Haruki Murakami
- The Accidental Further Adventures Of The Hundred-Year-Old Man by Jonas Jonasson
- The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
- Howards End by E.M. Forster
This is excluding my re-read of Pride and Prejudice which is THE best book forever and always.
Authors That You’ve Recently Found And Would Like To Read More Of In The New Year?
After having owned one of his books for many many years I finally started reading Murakami last year. I’m excited to try more of his books!
Most Anticipated Book Turned Movie/TV Show?
Little Women! It isn’t out in The Netherlands yet (on writing this, it will probably be out before I publish this) but I have already ensnared a friend to go with me. She set the condition that she would be allowed to be madly in love with Emma Watson. Girl, aren’t we all?

Name A Character That You Wouldn’t Mind Sharing A Kiss With At Midnight?
Lydia Bennet, from Pride and Prejudice, mainly because I would love to meet her sometime. The kiss is subject to consent.
How Many Books Do You Hope To Read In 2020? Will You Participate In The Goodreads Reading Challenge Or Any Others?
I read 61 books last year, so I thought 50 would be a reachable goal for 2020. My goodreads kindly informs me I’m already two books behind, though…
Any New Year’s Resolutions?
To be kinder to myself and to upload a blog post every week. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for reading! ❤
Great answers, Emmie. Two of your best books of 2019 were in my top 10! You can definitely still make 50 for this year 🙂
