I haven’t finished this book yet. To be honest, there are quite a few unread books on my bookshelves, so I figured that to exclude them from this project would skew the picture. This novel is written in a beautiful but intense stream of consciousness style, and I remember only being able to read one chapter at a time. According to the bookmark, I only read the first two chapters so far, after which I probably became too busy to read or too engrossed in another book. Shame! I’m planning on picking it up again some time soon (after I’ve read the ten other books on my to-read list).
Do you have any books that stay on your to-read list forever, or do you go through it quite quickly? Good tips are most appreciated :).
‘The Weather Today’ is a challenge I set myself in which every day(ish) I will take a random book from my bookshelves and write a few sentences about it.
Do persevere with this one! The writing style is tricky at first but once you are in it, it sort of unlocks the whole book. A tough read but worth it. Brontë

I started reading Invisibile Man by Ralph Ellison in July 2014, then put it aside as it is quite a tough read and I needed a break / was in the mood for something a little less heavy. I do really want to finish it at some point though so I might give it another try soon 🙂 Thanks for the inspiration x
